SURVEY: AIRPLANE ETIQUETTE
The Potawatomi Hotel and Casino polled over 1,000 Americans about airplane manners. Some of the findings:
– 9 out of 10 say it’s still wrong to take your shoes and socks off while flying.
– 59% think it’s OK to wear pajamas on the flight. (* How many think it’s OK to wear no pajamas at all?)
– About half of those surveyed believe it’s OK to recline your seat as long as you ask the person behind you first. Fifteen percent think it’s unacceptable to recline your seat at all.
– Only one in three believe the person in the middle seat deserves to have both armrests.
– 35% say it’s annoying to strike up a conversation with the person next to you.
– 94% think it’s acceptable to bring smelly food onto an airplane.
* Oh, I see…take the focus off how awful the airlines have been lately and turn it back on us.
* Somebody next to you brings stinky food on a plane, that’s when you take off your shoes and socks and prop your feet up on the seat in front of you.
* If you’re in the middle seat, you don’t deserve ANY armrests. If you’re in the middle, it’s because you are WEAK, and not worthy of an armrest!
* It’s annoying when a guy has one of those directional laptop screens so you can’t see the porn he’s looking at from your seat.
* PHONE TOPIC; Did you ever get stuck next to some rude idiot on a plane? (Note: Morning Sidekick recently flew. A couple sat down next to him and promptly pulled out an overripe, brown, mushy, putrid, stinking banana to eat. Then, they stuck the peel in the seat pocket for the rest of the flight! Could they not have eating the banana two minutes earlier in the terminal?)
