SURVEY: WOULD YOU GO TO A FAMILY CHAIN RESTAURANT ON A FIRST DATE?

A recent survey in Japan asked: “Is it OK to go to a family restaurant – something like Denny’s or Coco’s or Big Boy – on the first date?”
Here are the male responses:
– Sure — 25 percent
– Kind of — 21.4 percent
– Can’t say either way — 26.7 percent
– Probably not — 9.8 percent
– No way — 17.2 percent

Here are the female responses. Weirdly, they seem be more than alright with it:
– Sure — 30.9 percent
– Kind of — 23.7 percent
– Can’t say either way — 19.7 percent
– Probably not — 11.7 percent
– No way — 14.1 percent
* Question: Is the woman bringing her family along?
* Do the percentages change if your meal comes with a free toy?
* If fine dining restaurant prices in Japan are having the same kind of inflation as here, this could end up the new normal.
* Take your first date to Dairy Queen. That way you can impress them with a hot dog dinner AND a nice dessert.
* As long as you end up drunk at Waffle House at 3 in the morning, anything goes.
