STUDY: FLIRT WITH HUMOR AND YOU’LL SCORE

A new study examining the art of flirting finds that using humor works every time — regardless of whether you’re a man or woman. A team from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and State University of New York says that the most powerful weapon a person could have in their flirtation arsenal is the ability to make their potential partner laugh. They found humor worked to some degree for everyone, no matter their age, personal attractiveness, or preferences on a short-term or long-term sexual relationship. Said study co-author Rebecca Burch, “It is not only effective to be funny, but for women it is very important that you show your potential partner that you think they are funny.” The findings appear in the journal Evolutionary Psychology.
