AUSTRALIA IS THE WORLD’S DRINKIEST COUNTRY

Australians are the heaviest drinkers on the planet. Organizers from the Global Drug Survey asked more than 32,000 people from 22 different countries to monitor their alcohol consumption in 2020 in order to obtain a snapshot of global drinking habits.
– Participants from Australia got drunk an average of 27 times over the course of the year — almost double the global average, which was 15, making Australia the world’s drunkest country. On the other hand, Australia’s closest neighbor, New Zealand, reported one of the lowest drinking rates in the survey – an average of 10 times during the year.
– Denmark and Finland were tied as the second-drunkest countries, with participants getting intoxicated an average of 24 times a year.
– The United States came in third place, with those surveyed getting schnockered an average of 23 times in 2020.
– Next is the United Kingdom (22.5 times per year) and Canada (22).
* I thought the planet was wobbling a little more than usual.
* Everybody put down your drinks so we can raise a toast to Australia!
* New Zealand needs to stage an intervention.
* We get drunk less but it’s balanced out by the legal pot.
* If you’re toasting in Australia, do you say, “Bottoms down!”?
