YOU CAN NOW EAT LUNCH AT YOUR DESK IN FRANCE

Office workers in France can now eat lunch at their desks without breaking the law. Until now, French labor laws prohibited people from having meals in the workplace. French workers traditionally enjoyed leisurely lunches at local eateries with coworkers. But a government decree that went into effect Monday relaxed the rule due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the change is only temporary, and things will go back to the old ways once the pandemic is over.
* The law is there because French food can be pretty smelly… French fries, French toast, French dressing, French onion soup, French’s mustard…
* There’s nothing worse than when some French office worker heats his escargot in the lunchroom microwave.
* They don’t want French people eating lunch at work because the food keeps falling into the vat as they stomp the grapes.
* It’s a move forward, but they’re still not allowed to nap in the bathroom.
