WOMAN MISTAKES FIREWORK “POPPERS” FOR CANDY
A British woman says she mistook a small box of firework poppers for popping candy. (The little balls of paper you throw onto the ground so they explode.) Lisa Boothroyd says she bought a box of Fun Snaps from a local store, where it was stored near various candy items. When she tried to eat a handful of the poppers, they exploded and she suffered burns to her mouth, and nearly lost a tooth. Boothroyd said, “I just keep thinking what could have happened if I’d given them to a child — they could’ve blown her mouth apart.”
* Well, what she actually said was, “Fey vooduv bwown huh mouff adahrt.”
* Talk about shooting your mouth off.
* Lucky she hadn’t just eaten Indian food, there could have been a backfire.
* Is this for real? How many times have you walked into a store and bought a strange candy? Even once?
