FISHERMAN KILLED BY FLYING MACKEREL

In further proof that everything in Australia is trying to kill you, an Australian fisherman died after a 40-pound mackerel launched itself into his boat and hit him in the chest. The 56-year-old, from the Northern Territory, was fishing with family and friends on Darwin Harbour at Cullen Bay when tragedy struck about 4:30pm on Friday. Witnesses said it was around a 40lb (18kg) mackerel that speared right into the man and caused major blunt force trauma. The group made its way to Cullen Bay with the man still breathing, where they met up with police and paramedics who administered CPR, but he didn’t make it.
