STUNTMAN PROPOSES TO GIRLFRIEND WHILE ON FIRE

Professional British stuntman Riky Ash asked his girlfriend, professional nurse Katrina Dobson, to marry him – while he was on fire. He had set up a decoy photo shoot as if it were a stunt job. Before he was ignited, Ash was doused with an accelerant to cause a “big whoosh of flame.” He wore flame-protectant undergarments and a protective gel for his face, hair, hands and the back of his neck. His crew had fire extinguishers, and in the case of a malfunction, a wet towel to douse the flames. Ash (* Ash!) was set ablaze and dropped to his knee, and popped the question to a surprised Katrina, who said “yes” only after he was tamped out with a fire extinguisher.
