AUDIO: BRITISH COUPLE NAMES THEIR SON LUCIFER
In England, Dan and Mandy Sheldon have won a battle to name their son Lucifer after a registrar told them they couldn’t. The new parents went to register their son last week when the Derbyshire council reopened after lockdown. The horrified official told them their four-month-old son “wouldn’t succeed in life” with that name. The parents were told to leave the room while the official checked if she was allowed to register the boy’s name as Lucifer. Said Mr. Sheldon, “Eventually she did it, but it was through gritted teeth. Honestly, we just thought it was a nice name … a unique one. We didn’t expect to get so much grief about it.”
* Shorten it to Lou and be done with it.
* How many times do think they’ll have to hear, “I bet he’s a little devil!”, within 30,000?
* On the other hand, the kid’s gonna have a great pickup line when he starts going to bars: “My name’s Lucifer, and I’m horny.”
* If he actually does grow up to be the AntiChrist, that would fit in pretty well with the ways things are going.
* And yes, they plan to name their next kid Cthulhu.
