PANDEMIC-CANCELED WIMBLEDON HAS PANDEMIC INSURANCE
The people behind the famous Wimbledon tennis tournament say they bought “pandemic insurance”. Every year for the last 17 years, The All England Lawn Tennis Club, which runs Wimbledon, buys the insurance. This year, they paid $2 million dollars for a policy that will now pay them $141 million to cover their losses after being forced to cancel the 2020 tournament.
* If you thought the players grunted loud, you should have heard the insurance company.
* For a while there, the insurance company had a pretty good racket.
* Good for them. Sorry about the rest of you who had policies, there’s no money left now.
* As dad always says, insurance is the biggest waste of money until you need it.
