HARD HAT DROPPED IN MISSISSIPPI RIVER FOUND ON THE BEACH IN IRELAND
A hard hat that fell into the Mississippi River in 2015 was found 4,300 miles away on a beach in Ireland. Liam McNamara said he found the hat on a beach in Fanore, County Clare. The hat had remnants of a custom paint job, in the purple and gold colors of Louisiana State University. There was also a sticker bearing the name of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 25. McNamara went on social media to try to track down the original owner – and found him. Matthew Bonnette said he had been working in 2015 in Belle Chasee, Louisiana, near New Orleans, when his hard hat fell into the Mississippi River. The hat is being mailed back to Mr. Bonnette.
* That is pretty weird. Finding the hat of a man named “Bonnet,” I mean.
* Hard hat’s thinking, “I almost got away!”
* I love these “Incredible Journey” things. Replace the hard hat with a cat and two dogs, and it would be a pretty good movie.
* The takeaway here is, if you find yourself in a situation like Tom Hanks in “Cast Away”, jam your butt into a hard hat and hit the surf.
* Finding a hat isn’t all that exciting, but it beats a bunch of severed feet washing up on a beach.
