CROCODILE HAS TIRE STUCK ON ITS HEAD
Indonesian authorities in the city of Palu are offering a reward to anyone who can get a rubber motorbike tire off of a saltwater crocodile. Local conservation authorities have been trying – and failing – for several years to find a way to remove the tire from the 12-foot crocodile. The tire is sitting between its head and its front legs, and it’s too tight to easily slip back over its head. The animal appears to be having trouble breathing. There have been years of fruitless attempts to help the animal. The agency offered few details on the reward, but they warned that they are not looking for amateurs to pull off the stunt, but are asking people with a background in wildlife rescue to help.
* What’s Indonesian for, “Hold my beer…”
* Does the crocodile have to still be alive once the tire is off?
* There’s gotta be 100 guys in Southern Florida alone who could do this blindfolded.
* Or Bill Nye the Science Guy, with a bucket of liquid nitrogen and a hammer.
* This would make a great Fox reality special. Get that Wallenda guy to do it while he’s walking a wire across Niagara Falls.
