MAN ATTEMPTS TO SNEAK INTO U.S. DISGUISED AS AN OLD MAN

Security at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport stopped a man trying to sneak into the U.S. by disguising himself as an old man. Riding in a wheelchair, 32-year-old Jayesh Patel successfully cleared both an initial security screening and the immigration counter on Sunday. A fake passport claimed he was 81-year-old Amrik Singh. Security became suspicious because his voice didn’t match his age, and his skin had no wrinkles. Patel made it all the way to the terminal before they stopped him from boarding a flight to New York City. Patel confessed that he was going to the U.S. for a job but had trouble acquiring a visa. Another man offered to sneak him to the States for around $42,000, to be paid when Patel reached New York. That man introduced Patel to a makeup artist who came to his hotel room and applied the disguise before he headed to the airport. He was given a grey beard, large black glasses and a turban.

* It’s like a “Mission Impossible” movie done by grade school kids.
* “Sir, how can you be 81 and have no wrinkles?” “Never married, no kids.”
* What was the job he was coming for? Replacing Hal Holbrook in “An Evening With Mark Twain”?
* It’s an airport, dammit, not Inside the Actor’s Studio.
