FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR PASSES OUT DURING STUDENT’S LESSON
A student pilot in Australia was in the middle of a flying lesson when his instructor passed out. Max Sylvester, 29, was in a two-seat Cessna on Saturday when he made a distress call to air traffic operators at an airport in Perth. His instructor, Robert Mollard, was slumped over in his seat, unconscious. Sylvester told the air traffic controller he had two lessons previously, but this was his first time in this kind of plane and he had never landed an aircraft before. The plane circled the city’s Jandakot Airport for nearly an hour, while his wife and three children waited nervously on the ground. The air traffic operator talked him through the emergency landing, and he brought the plane down safely. The flight instructor was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition.
* The instructor mostly suffered from soiled pants.
* [Do the joke from “Airplane”] (You) The Cessna is an entirely different plane, altogether. (Your team) “The Cessna is an entirely different plane.”
* What is the guy’s wife thinking, bringing the kids? “Come on, children, we’re going to watch daddy crash a plane.”
* Did he at least get a refund on the flying lesson?
