DEATH BY ZIPLINE

A Canadian man died while vacationing in Thailand in an apparent zipline accident. Spencer Donaldson of Fruitvale, B.C., was ziplining at the popular attraction Flight of the Gibbon in Chiang Mai. The cable reportedly “gave way” after the 25-year-old Donaldson was released at the start of the ride Saturday. He dropped about 40 feet from the zipline and fell down a hill. Authorities are probing if there was any negligence on the operators’ behalf. Flight of the Gibbon is a journey through the jungle on more than three miles of cable, making it one of the longest on the continent. It costs about $131 to ride the zipline.
* Death by zipline. Well. there’s your next nightmare. And I don’t mean the $131 cost.
* No info on how much he weighed, so maybe they’re just being kind.
* Hate to point this out, but gibbons don’t fly, either.
* Thailand? More like DIE-land!
* Meanwhile, a worker holds up the broken line, looks at it and says, “You had ONE job …”
