ALPACA WANDERS INTO AN OPTICIANS
A runaway alpaca calmly wandered into an optician’s office in Hennebont in Brittany, France. It was walking down the street past the business when it triggered an automatic door, and it became curious and walked into Les Opticiens Mutualistes. Staff locked the doors to prevent the animal from escaping and causing chaos on the roads. The alpaca calmly browsed the shelves and stopped to admire itself in the mirrors. It stayed in the shop for half an hour before it was literally picked up and carried off by police and returned to the owner, a nearby farmer.
* “Read the top line, please.” “A-L-P-A-C-A.”
* Optician: “We don’t sell many glasses to alpacas.” Alpaca: “At these prices, I’m not surprised.”
* They know it needed glasses ’cause it was trying to find the vegetable market.
* Eventually, it decided to just go with contacts.
