The latest trend in bodybuilding is milk. It’s the “GOMAD diet,” which stands for “gallon of milk a day.” Chugging seven gallons of whole milk a week is supposed to help underdeveloped people pile on muscle and fat as quickly as possible. However, it can come at a price. Not only does it fill you up so that you don’t eat any other food containing necessary vitamins and minerals, the milk can cause gastrointestinal distress, in the form of bloating, constipation and gas. Reportedly, lots of gas.
