LEAN CUISINE INTRODUCES NEW MEAL PLAN NAMED AFTER LARGE RODENT
Lean Cuisine has just introduced a new meal program called “Nutria.” The Nutria app connects users to a nutrition coach who dispenses meal plans and healthy living guidelines based on individual DNA profiles. But what the Lean Cuisine company may not have realized – but certainly knows now – is that the Nutria is the name of a large rodent that lives in the deep south. It looks like a huge guinea pig, and is about as big as a medium-size dog. Nutria is an invasive species that has done extensive damage to Louisiana’s vanishing marshlands by eating vegetation at an alarming rate.
* So, bon appetit, dieters!
* Maybe that’s the plan: you get a picture of a nutria in your head, you don’t feel like eating.
* Wait – do they make good hamburgers? Maybe we could flip this around and eat the nutria off the face of the earth.
* Here’s a crazy idea – when you think of a name for your new product, Google it before you roll it out to the entire planet.
* Well, it’s better than their first idea for the app’s name: “Proboscis Monkey”.
