YOGURT COMPANY SEEKS FLAVOR FINDERS

The Noosa yogurt company, which brought the world blackberry-serrano and pear & cardamom yogurt, has a few job openings. They just launched a campaign to find five new Flavor Finders, who will trek across the country and around the world in search of inspiring flavors. Each Flavor Finder will receive a $2,000 stipend to travel to their flavor destination of choice – anywhere in the world – to look for potential flavors for yogurt. There are three ways to apply for the job: via Twitter, Instagram, or Noosa’s website. Upload a food photo you’ve snapped that best represents your dream yogurt flavor and be sure to include a witty caption describing your inspiration. The contest is open now through Friday, April 20th.
* Pear & cardamom yogurt, huh? Well this is a great concept, ’cause people love to pay money to taste stuff they’ve never heard of.
* No, seriously, this is a great idea ’cause there aren’t nearly enough flavors of yogurt at the store.
* Somebody at Noosa’s been into the booza.
* I wouldn’t aim for Chinese Beef Broth. (See story in International section.)
* You can pretty much rule out Scotland and their haggis, or Norway with their lutefisk.
* If it were me, I’d take the two grand, head to Bali and, after a year, say, “Couldn’t find anything. Sorry.”
* Meh. Just steal flavor ideas from Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
