WOMAN DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS PREGNANT, BLAMES CHINESE FOOD
A Florida woman had no clue she was 37 weeks pregnant, and instead thought her labor pains were caused by bad Chinese food. Crystal Amerson of Pensacola woke up early Sunday with a severe stomach ache that had her repeatedly running to the bathroom. She’d had General Tso’s chicken the night before and thought it might be food poisoning. As the pain intensified, she decided she needed an ambulance. When the ambulance got there they figured out what was going on. Her son, Oliver James, was born about a half-hour later in the back of the ambulance. Amerson, who already had one baby son, said she’d never been one to feel the symptoms associated with pregnancy, such as morning sickness and weight gain. “I gained a little bit of weight, but I think with my first baby I didn’t notice either,” she said.
* That’s General Tso’s chicken, everybody, the food that makes you feel like you’re about to give birth. Pick some up for dinner tonight!
* And an hour later, she was pregnant again.
* Her fortune cookie read, “A thrilling time is in your immediate future.”
