FLEEING SUSPECT JUMPS INTO UNDERCOVER COP'S CAR

In Springfield, Massachusetts, a suspect fleeing police Saturday night erroneously jumped into an undercover detective’s car in an attempt to escape. Police had spotted 25-year-old Angel Valdes running up Central Street in the town. A detective of the department’s narcotics unit drove over as Valdes approached. Valdes opened the passenger door and attempted to get in the car. Once he realized he was in a cop car, Valdes got out and kept on running, but he was soon taken into custory. Police discovered Valdes in possession of 14 rocks of crack cocaine.
