ACTUAL CLOWN RUNNING FOR CONGRESS

A former Ringling Bros. clown has announced his candidacy for South Carolina’s Fifth district. Steve Lough, of Camden, says he’s running for Congress to improve healthcare, and to prevent school shootings from happening again. The Ringling Bros. Clown College alum said he first dipped his toes into political waters when he volunteered on the 2008 and 2012 Obama presidential campaigns.
* At least he has the proper training for the job.
* He believes every gun should fire a little flag with the word “BANG” on it.
* We can expect more circus subsidies, I guess.
* As a professional clown and a politician, will he be able to juggle both careers?
* If he gets elected, and when he finally retires, those will be some pretty big shoes to fill.
