STUDENT KNOCKED OUT BY SPOOKED DEER DURING FIRE DRILL

Eagle Point, Oregon, High School was running a fire drill last week. As students exited the building, it spooked a couple of deer on campus. One of them ran into student Josie Lemley. Said Lemley, “I think I got hit in the face with a hoof. I never saw any deer.” She was knocked out and suffered a concussion. Administrators say they may now add perimeter checks as part of their drill plan.
* Imagine the poor teacher tasked with spraying mountain lion urine around the perimeter of the school grounds before every fire drill.
* This would never have happened if those students were armed.
* At least provide the kids with antlers for self-defense.
