CHURCH GIVES AWAY FIVE CARS

Destiny Church in Columbia, Maryland, has come up with a way to attract new members to the congregation – give away some cars. The 7-year-old nondenominational church celebrated its new location last Sunday in a strip mall by giving away five used cars to demonstrate God’s goodness. Pastor Stephen Chandler said the church normally draws up to 1,100 people. Sunday, the church gave away 2,250 tickets in advance of three services. The church added a fourth service, which meant it had to buy another car to give away. A fifth car was given to a family in need.

* One of the cars had rich, Corinthian leather. And another car had Corinthian, too.
* Five families got cars; everybody else ended up coveting their neighbor’s goods.
