HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL BLOWOUT: 93-7
The East Bridgewater, Massachusetts High School girls basketball team beat Madison Park High in a state sectional basketball tournament. The final score: 93 to 7. The Vikings were up 24-0 in the first quarter, but then instead of backing off, they kept many of their starters in the game. By the end of the third quarter it was 70-4, and they still kept pushing. The Superintendent of East Bridgewater Schools apologized for running up the score, calling the game “an unfortunate situation.” She added, “This is not a reflection of our student body or our athletic program.”
* Wink wink.
* I see, I see… we’re supposed to be for girl power, unless it’s against other girls.
* Hey, anyone can have a bad day – it’s just not usually everybody all at once.
* The beating was so bad, the losing team got a certificate of participation AND a small trophy.
* We all love American Exceptionalism, but tone it down a little.
