WOMAN SHOT IN LEG ON FIRST DATE

A Kansas City, Missouri, woman is recovering after being shot in the leg by a man she’d been out with on a first date Wednesday night. Police said the man and the woman were in his car in a parking lot when he started firing his gun from the car. She got out and ran to her car. The man drove by and shot her through her car door, hitting her in the leg. She was taken to a hospital. The gunman left the scene and went to his home, where local police arrested him. Police say it’s unclear why the suspect began shooting in the first place.
