TROLLEY DRIVER FAKED ATTACK FOR WORKER'S COMP

A Boston, Massachusetts, trolley driver paid a man $2,000 to attack him while wearing a Halloween mask so the driver could fraudulently collect workers’ compensation and disability insurance. Prosecutors say driver Thomas Lucey reported that a man pulled him out of a trolley shortly after midnight on Oct. 30, 2016, and punched him repeatedly. The attacker wore a mask and carried a plastic pumpkin. Authorities lifted fingerprints from the pumpkin left behind at the scene to find the attacker, and he confessed that Lucey paid him for the phony attack. A grand jury on Wednesday indicted Lucey on insurance fraud, worker’s comp fraud and other charges.
* He thought he’d get away with it? Guy must be off his trolley.
* Trick or beat!
* The Halloween attacker kept shouting, “This is what you get for not having any Reese’s Cups!”
* The attacker may have done some prison time, but he’s the only one who came out $2,000 ahead in this caper.
* The pumpkin was a festive touch, no?
* Next time, wear a costume that includes gloves.
