MAN ACCIDENTALLY TEXTS DETECTIVE ABOUT KILLING HIS GIRLFRIEND

A Dunnellon, Florida, man meant to text his wife about killing his live-in girlfriend. Instead, he accidentally sent to text to a police detective. Investigators said 52-year-old David Romig staged the crime scene to make it look like an intruder entered the home on Jan. 30 and shot 64-year-old Sally Kaufmann-Ruff. Detectives investigated and found evidence that didn’t match Romig’s story about the home invasion. Later, Romig nervously sent two text messages – meant for his wife but going to a detective in the case – saying he thought he was going to be arrested. Which he was, on Tuesday. (* The story does not clarify why he had a wife and a girlfriend, but, hey – Florida, ammirite?)
* Forget it, Jake, it’s Floridatown.
* The one guy who doesn’t have his wife’s number on speed-dial, and THIS happens.
* What was the second text – “If you don’t answer my first text, I’ll kill you too!”?
* If you’re over the age of 30, just stay the hell away from social media, OK? It’s not doing you any favors.
* So David Romig has not been watching “How to Get Away with Murder”.
