SLEEPWALKING MAN FALLS SIX STORIES

In Manhattan, a sleepwalking man fell six stories out his girlfriend’s Lower East Side apartment window Sunday and miraculously survived. Randy Phothisane, 35 – whose brother said he had a history of sleepwalking when he was younger – had taken some of his girlfriend’s sleeping pills before hitting the sack, she told officers. At some point, Phothisane climbed out her eighth-floor window and fell onto scaffolding six stories below around 5 a.m. wearing nothing but boxers. Then he actually got up and was helped through a window to safety by firefighters on the other side of the glass. Phothisane is recovering from a broken leg and rib, back and torso injuries.
* Anyway, that’s the girlfriend’s alibi.
* Talk about dropping off to sleep.
* On the bright side, with the broken leg, he won’t be able to sleepwalk for a while.
* Buy some handcuffs. They’ll keep Randy from leaving the bedroom, and might also be fun in other ways.
* Ask your doctor if Phothisane is right for you.
