ULTRAMARATHON RUNNER CAUGHT CHEATING BY HIDING IN PORT-A-POTTIES

Kelly Agnew, an avid and semi-famous ultramarathon competitor, was stripped of some of his titles after an investigation revealed that he was hiding in Port-a-Potties to win races. The 45-year-old was disqualified at Across the Years, an annual 48-hour Arizona run, which he had won four times. Agnew was spotted circling back at the start/finish line after completing a lap, spending over 7 minutes in a port-a-potty and then heading straight to the line to register the lap without actually running the mile plus loop. Officials also rescinding his first-place titles at four other races where he missed certain check-in points on the course. Agnew also missed checkpoints at the famous Leadville 100 in Colorado and has questionable times recorded for other races as well.
* Now his reputation’s down the tubes.
* Even Lance Armstrong thought this was low.
* He’ll never be able to run for 48 hours at once ever again. Quite the punishment.
* Run for 48 hours, or sit in a port-a-potty. I think I’d prefer the running.
* It’s too bad a guy like this has to besmirch the fine name of Agnew.
