PEOPLE UPSET FUNERAL HOME WILL BECOME HAUNTED HOUSE

An abandoned funeral home in Rogersville, Missouri, will be transformed into a haunted house for a high school fundraiser. But some of the town’s residents say it’s an inappropriate and insensitive place to hold the Halloween-themed event. The Logan-Rogersville High School said proceeds from the “Rogersville Horror Story” event would fund a graduation night event, and organizers said they were going to utilize the leftover equipment left inside the funeral home as a way to enhance the spooky experience. Residents took to Facebook to express their anger at the funeral home being used as a haunted house, saying it was “distasteful”. But others said it was an appropriate use of the building: “So much sadness occurred in this building. Now, it gets to bring happiness and laughter, as well as some good scares to everyone…and for a good cause. What better way to end things?” One social media user wrote: “This is awesome thing to donate the money and help out, everyone needs to calm down, if you don’t agree don’t go to it, I don’t see a problem, the people who had their funerals held there probably wouldn’t mind it, either.”
* “Everyone needs to calm down”? What America are YOU living in?
* I agree. The people who had funerals there won’t mind.
* Who’s to say there wasn’t some happiness and laughter going on behind the scenes when it was a funeral home?
* Stop being so GRAVE, and get in the SPIRIT of things.
* You can’t spell funeral home without F-U-N.
* In other news, Rogersville is also turning an old brothel into a wedding chapel.
