25 CUPS OF COFFEE A DAY OK FOR YOUR ARTERIES, SAYS STUDY

A study funded by the British Heart Foundation says that coffee – as much as 25 cups a day – appears to be safe for your heart. Previous studies have claimed that too much coffee could stiffen arteries. Researchers from Queen Mary University of London, who analyzed more than 8,000 people in the UK, claim that even those with heavy coffee habits show no worse effects on arteries than those not even drinking a full cup. Dr. Kenneth Fung, who led the data analysis, admitted that the average in the heavy-drinkers group of the study was five cups a day, nowhere near the max of 25.
* That’s some fine researchin’ there, Lou.
* Coffee instead of tea? Isn’t that illegal over there?
* 25 cups may be okay for your arteries, buts it’s lousy for your productivity. You spend all day in the whizzer.
* Most people can’t drink 25 cups of coffee. After about 15 you’re shaking so much it won’t stay in the cup.
* Your arteries are fine, but you start developing ping-pong ball eyes like the Muppets.
