12 INMATES ESCAPE USING PEANUT BUTTER

Twelve inmates escaped Alabama’s Walker County Jail Sunday night after using peanut butter to cover a door number and trick a young jailer. Of the 12, all but one was back in custody by daybreak Monday. The jailer thought he was opening the cell door for a man to go in his cell, but in fact he opened up the outside door because the number had been covered with peanut butter. The inmates ran through the door and jumped the fence. Said Sheriff James Underwood, “Changing numbers on doors with peanut butter – It may sound crazy, but these kinds of people are crazy like a fox.”
* And the guards are dumb like a post.
* As escape stories go, this one’s pretty nutty.
* Most of them were recaptured in a Jif.
* There was a 13th guy who wanted to escape, but sadly, he had a nut allergy.
