WORMS IN THE WATER IN HOUSTON
In the Woodland Acres subdivision of a town called Old River-Winfree, near Houston, Texas, worms are coming out of the faucets. About 30 neighbors say the worms are flowing out with their tap water. The worms are also clogging sprinkler systems. The private company in charge of the water, J&S Water, says it had a power outage last weekend and some equipment broke, so it flushed the system. But the company says it’s tested the water multiple times with the state environmental agency and found no sign of worms. A J&S Water spokesman says the company is following every step of protocol and working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to address the problem.
* Notice they stopped just short of promising to SOLVE the problem.
* The company couldn’t find any worms? All those people should mail their worms to the company headquarters.
* Proof of worms? This sounds like a job for … YouTube!
* See, if this happened in Pennsylvania, they could just set their tap water on fire and burn up all the worms as they come out.
* May I be the one to say it: Houston, we have a problem.
* I don’t think they should use the word “flushed” when talking about drinking water.
* Not unless you’re drinking right out of a toilet.
* Hey, be grateful. Not every homeowner gets hot and cold running bait.
* Wasn’t “Worms in the Water” a bluegrass band from Memphis?
