WOMAN WAS CHARGED $39.95 TO HOLD HER NEWBORN BABY

A woman who had given birth back in September was going over her hospital bill. Right there on the bill, it’s printed: 9/04/16 – “Skin-to-skin after C-Section”. After the baby was born, the new mother wanted to hold him. The hospital charged her for this. The unnamed woman posted a picture of the hospital invoice with the caption: “I had to pay $39.95 to hold my baby after he was born.” The name of the woman and the hospital have been blacked out, so it’s not clear where the woman lives or what hospital she’s talking about. The story made it to Reddit.com where it has received over 11,000 comments from other mothers with incredible hospital bill stories.

* How much do they charge to let you take your baby home?
* Just take the $39.95 out of the kid’s allowance, incrementally, and he’ll never notice.
* The only surprise is that it wasn’t more.
* That sounds more like a $500 hospital charge to me.
