WOMAN TRIES TO TAKE OUT OLYMPIC TORCH WITH SQUIRT GUN

The Olympic torch run passed through the northern Japnese prefecture of Ibaraki on Sunday and Monday. However, as the runner trotted through Mito City, a woman shouted out “Olympic opposition! Stop the Olympics!” and began firing a squirt gun at the torch’s flame as it passed by. The runner’s security detail had arm shields to help repel the water, and then rerstrained the woman until the police arrested her for obstruction of business. The suspect was a 53-year-old woman, armed with a pink Fancy & Toy Tonari Splash Water Gun that boasts a 16-foot (five-meter) range.
