WOMAN SHOOTS HOUSEGUESTS WHO WOULDN'T LEAVE
In Bay County, Florida, last week Alana Annette Savell, 32, was arrested for shooting her houseguests because they wouldn’t leave. Savall said the couple, who were guests for the evening, started drinking and were getting too loud, and she told them she didn’t want them in her home. Savell armed herself with a handgun and started shooting at their feet from the doorway of the home. The female guest was hit in the legs and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Savell’s boyfriend was also hit in the leg with a bullet during the shooting. The boyfriend allegedly told authorities that he told Savell that if someone is told to leave their property three times, she is to get the gun and shoot it at the ground. If that doesn’t work, she’s supposed to shoot them in the leg.
* I believe that statute was decided by the Supreme Court, no?
* Sure – it was a famous case: The People vs. Their Relatives.
* Having your host holding a gun and telling you to get out isn’t enough of a signal to these people?
* Maybe try using blanks and see if they skedaddle before switching to live rounds?
* Whatever happened to “Release the hounds!”?
* I don’t think it was just the guests who were drinking.
* What’s the big deal? It sounds like every family gathering I ever went to.
* So I assume you don’t send a thank-you note after a party like that, right?
* Of course she shot them in the lower extremities. She was too drunk to raise her arm.
* Yes, it’s terrible behavior, but it sends a message that could really help out the rest of us.
