WOMAN BLAMES PARROT FOR TEACHING KIDS NAUGHTY WORD

A woman in the town of Tracy, California, is blaming her neighbor’s parrot for teaching her kids a bad word. Rula the parrot is an excellent imitator, of dogs, cats, and other neighborhood sounds. But Jessica Baca, who lives next door, has accused the bird of saying “prostitute” in Spanish. Her grandkids repeat it, she says. Rula’s owner, Rita Canisales, says Baca isn’t hearing correctly. Rula the parrot is actually saying his own name, which sounds similar to the offending word – a four letter word with a long ‘u’. (The word is “puta”, Spanish for whore and worse.)

* Maybe the kids taught the parrot the bad word. Did you ever think of that?
* Excuse me, but there’s plenty worse words in the average episode of “Family Guy.”
* Now the parrot has taken the 5th.
* All it will say now is “Rula wants a lawyer.”
* If this is the biggest problem in Tracy, California, they should all be grateful.
