POLICE TRAINING OFFICERS BUSTED FOR ON-DUTY SEARCH FOR POKEMON
A pair of Commerce City, Colorado, police training officers are no longer training recruits after superiors discovered they were leading their charges on Pokemon Go expeditions instead of showing them how to enforce the law. Instead of looking for bad guys, the officers and recruits were using their mobile device’s GPS capability to track down Pokémon critters. The officers were removed from field training duties last week.
* Gotta Fire ’em All!
* At least they were practicing their pursuing skills.
* Plus, they ticketed a lot of the Pokémons for jaywalking and loitering.
* Okay, these officers are gone but what about the recruits they already trained?
* I’d run them through the course again just in case.
* Meanwhile, if you’re a criminal in Colorado, it’s probably easy pickins in Commerce City.
* Darn, I knew it had been too quiet on the Pokemon Go front.
* We had a no-hitter going for a few innings. It was like a day off from J.K. Rowling.
