THE WORLD’S BIGGEST FERRIS WHEEL: THE DUBAI EYE

The world’s biggest Ferris wheel has opened: Ain Dubai, Arabic for “Dubai Eye,” is officially the world’s largest and highest Ferris wheel, standing 820 feet tall. The Dubai Eye is almost double the size of the London Eye Ferris wheel and can welcome 1,750 visitors at a time. The ride – one rotation – lasts 38 minutes.
* I hope they require you to go to the bathroom before you get on.
* Golly – 38 minutes… to look at sand in all directions.
* The ride costs 17 barrels of oil per person, 14 barrels if you’re 65 or older.
* The weird part? It was supposed to be the world’s biggest merry-go-round, but the engineers read the blueprints wrong.
* Now if you look close at the London Eye, you can see a little tear.
