THE OL' RAT-IN-THE-DRESS

Manhattan resident Cailey Fiesel bought a black dress off-the-rack from the Zara store in Greenwich, Connecticut, in July. A few weeks later, while wearing it to work, she noticed a “disturbingly pungent odor”, but she could not tell where it was coming from. As the day went on, Ms. Fiesel started to notice what felt like a loose string form her dress rubbing against her leg. She reached down with her hand to try and locate the string and felt an unusual bulge in the hem. It was the severed leg of a dead rodent, sewn into the dress. The horrifying discovery caused Fiesel to jump “out of her chair in shock.” She’s suing, of course, for not only emotional distress but for a large rash that was diagnosed as as “rodent-born disease”.
* And yet, Lady Gaga wants to know where she can get a dress just like it.
* I’ve heard of “ratty clothing” but this is nuts.
* It does explain the cats following her around.
* “Does this dress make me disturbingly pungent?”
* So the string was the rat’s tail?
* Don’t get mad at me. I’m just trying to visualize this.
* How come it only smelled a few weeks later?
* Frankly, I’m starting to smell a rat with this whole story.
* An unusual bulge in the hem of a dress? We’re not going back to the Caitlyn Jenning stories, are we?
