THE MEANEST MOMMY MAKES KIDS WATCH "MOMMIE DEAREST"

When Mary Lucas’ kids called her ‘the meanest mommy’, she decided to show them what a mean mommy really was. Lucas, 28, admitted to Nebraska City police that she made her two boys, ages 4 and 7, watch Joan Crawford in “Mommie Dearest”, because her own mom made her watch it at age 4. Lucas told police that she’d asked her boyfriend, 29-year-old Glenn Oliver, to make the kids watch the movie. Oliver made sure, all right – he duct-taped the kids to a chair. Lucas has been charged with child abuse for endangering them by allegedly letting a man duct-tape them to a chair, and for allegedly depriving them of food. Oliver was already in jail, charged with child abuse and false imprisonment.
* That’s nothing. If you really want to punish the kids, make them sit through that new movie “Pan”.
* I don’t know what’s worse – MAKING them watch that movie, or making them watch THAT movie.
* It makes sense. Why show parenting skills to the kids, when we can get Hollywood to do it?
* Of course, having them watch a movie is also the way we reward them.
* Now teach them about relationships and show them “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?”
* This Oliver sounds like a real catch. And I’m glad they caught him.

* PHONE TOPIC: “No, I have the meanest mommy.” Tales of when your mom was mean.
