Big 7 travel conducted a sample survey of its 1.5 million-member social audience to determine which U.S. states are the friendliest. Survey takers were asked about factors like first impression at port of entry, whether that be an airport, train station or other place, locals’ attitudes toward tourists, neighborly feel, stranger openness and “general friendliness.”
The Friendliest States:
1. Minnesota
2. Tennessee
3. South Carolina
4. Texas
5. Wyoming

41. Rhode Island
42. Florida
43. Nevada
44. New Hampshire (* The “Live Free or Get the Hell Out” State)
45. Washington
46. New Jersey
