SUBSTITUTE TEACHER DUCT TAPED STUDENTS TO CHAIRS

In Gaston, South Carolina, a substitute teacher working at Sandhills Middle School has been charged with two counts of cruelty to children after using tape to restrain students. Deputies say Janeen Clark, 26, taped two male students to their desk chairs and bound their hands with tape during school hours last Thursday. She put tape over the mouth of one of the students. Deputies say cruelty to children is a misdemeanor charge punishable by a fine of up to $200 or up to 30 days in jail.
* I know middle schoolers. I say, Justifiable Tapeicide.
* This takes “passive-aggressive” to a whole new level.
* Seriously? She couldn’t make it just a few more days to holiday break?
* She wrapped the kids with tape, and this wraps up her career as a substitute teacher.
* Where’d she get the tape? Does everyone carry around a roll of duct tape?
* Again, some Japanese businessmen would pay a hefty fee for that kind of treatment.
* Maybe it was a math lesson, as in, “Count up all the years this teacher could get if all the charges go through.”
* Wow, I knew it had been too quiet on the teacher-student front.
* Of course it was quiet. The students mouths were taped shut.
* Meanwhile Janeen said, “30 days in jail? That’d be paradise after these damn kids.”
* Hey, there’s your next class field trip – visiting the teacher in jail.
