SPEEDING TICKETS STUDY

A new study from Insurify has determined which car models have the highest percentage of owners with speeding violations on their records. Insurify, an insurance comparison site, looked at more than 1.6 million quote requests, which required applicants to note if they had a speeding ticket on their record. Here’s what they found:
1. Subaru WRX: 20 percent of owners said they’ve had a speeding ticket
(From the Subaru WRX website: “Packed with a turbocharger to boost output, the WRX delivers 310 horsepower and 290 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels for intense acceleration.” So yeah, you might as well have a vanity plate that says “TICKET ME”.)
2. Scion FR-S: 19%
3. Volkswagen GTI: 16%
4. Hyundai Genesis Coupe: 15%
5. Jeep Wrangler Unlimited: 15%
6. Ram 2500 Heavy Duty pickup: 15%
7. Dodge Dart: 14%
8. Infiniti G37: 14%
9. Subaru Impreza: 14%
10. Hyundai Veloster: 14%
* Name ten cars I am not buying my teenager.
* Do these people know you can get radar detectors on eBay?
* What’s odd is, none of these cars are particularly sporty. In fact the #11 vehicle on the list is an eScooter.
* So according to Insurify, if you have a habit of speeding, you might not want to do business with Insurify.
