SIBLING ISSUES PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE MOST

As most of us know, siblings can be a complicated relationship. Several therapists were asked to reveal the sibling issues that their clients bring up the most in therapy:
1. “I don’t like my sibling’s partner.”
2. “We don’t talk anymore.”
3. “We’re stuck in our childhood roles.”
4. “We disagree about how to deal with our aging parents.”
5. “We still fight like we did when we were kids.”
6. “My brother or sister is still mooching off our parents.”
* Sounds like it’s time for dad to go get the belt.
* I’ve heard the expression “family friendly” – how about some friendly families?
* Therapy? This is what Thanksgiving was for, to work these things out over a nice dinner.
* Go ahead, folks – have kids. They’ll thank you for it.
* How come the advice columns always have letters from people who like their sibling’s partner a little too much?
* PHONE TOPIC: Do you have an issue with your brother or sister? What is it?
