SHOPLIFTER LEAVES INCRIMINATING EVIDENCE GALORE
Police in Marietta, Georgia, posted a humorous note on Facebook. It was addressed to a shoplifter at a pawn shop. The note read:
“Sir, you must have forgot that you gave the clerk your driver’s license with ALL of your personal information as well as providing him with your fingerprint when completing the pawn ticket before you stole from him which, by the way, was also all on camera. Please at least try to hide. The judge has already signed the warrant. When you make it this easy it takes all the fun out of chasing bad guys!”
The next day, Marietta police tweeted that they had caught Dale Jonathan Tice at a local motel: “Fortunately (for us) he turned out to be just as bad at hide & seek as he is at stealing.”
* Police said it was a trivial pursuit.
* This is good. You like seeing people getting personal with their work.
* Remember when trash-talking was just a sports thing?
* I don’t think he forgot he gave his information at the pawn shop. I think he was that desperate.
* Wow, did this incident make it up from Florida to Georgia?
* Maybe Florida’s wackiness is beginning to spread out.
