SERIAL ICE CREAM THIEF SENTENCED

A serial ice cream bandit was sentenced to a month in jail by a Manhattan judge on Friday. Mark Hicks, 37, and his accomplice Ebony Gillian, 34, were accused of stealing ice cream – up to 50 pints at a time – and re-selling it, making $700 a day. Hicks reportedly “loved to brag about” his exploits – waving around a New York Post article about his crime and bragging, “I’m famous!,” his roommate said. The pair sometimes sat on the couch in their apartment and ate the stolen ice cream – Haagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry’s – right from the container, their roommate said. The pair was busted at a Brooklyn bus stop Sunday after supermarket magnate John Catsimatidis put a $5,000 bounty on their heads – and a tipster called cops to report them. U.S. Magistrate Judge Frank Maas sentenced Hicks to 30 days behind bars.
* … ice cream bars!!!
* It’s into the cooler for this guy.
* His roommate ratted him out? That’s cold.
* I haven’t heard a story like this in a month of sundaes.
* They ate the ice cream right from the containers? Bastards!!
* You know, they would have been caught sooner if the reward had been ice cream.
* They’re going to have a rocky road back to the straight life.
* And thank you New York Post, for the scoop.
* Well, you certainly can’t fault their priorities.
* I’d invest in ice cream but I don’t want the frozen assets.
* Just a wild guess….was the smoking of marijuana part of any of this?
* This guy sounds like he’s got a serious munchie habit.
