PRISON ESCAPEE SENDS WARDEN A POSTCARD

A prisoner who escaped from a facility in Belgium sent a postcard to the warden. Oualid Sekkaki was serving time on drug charges. He and four other prisoners escaped the Turnhout prison on December 19 by climbing over a wall and into a getaway car. Three of them were captured the next day. A fourth escapee was tracked down in the Netherlands on January 5. But over the weekend, prison officials received a “Greetings from Thailand” postcard, believed to have been sent by Sekkaki because also in the envelope was his prison badge.
