POLICE BUST 400 TEENS AT DRUNKEN HOUSE PARTY
An end-of-summer party at a house in Great Neck, Long Island, turned into booze-soaked rager, and cops caught nearly 400 teens. Nassau County Police responded Tuesday night to a home, where they found “a large house party consisting of approximately 400 people, most of whom were underage.” Two boys, ages 15 and 16, and a 16-year-old girl were taken to a hospital suffering from severe intoxication. The homeowner received an appearance ticket for violating the Social Host Law, and is due in court later next month. An attorney for the family said the party was supposed to be a small end-of-summer get-together for their 16-year-old daughter. But according to authorities, word about the party got out on social media, and teens from New Jersey and Connecticut showed up.
* And how did the homeowner respond? Go out and buy more booze?
* So when a small get-together crossed the first 100 people mark, this was not a red flag?
* Twenty times more people showed up in New York than were invited. It sounds like Drunkstock.
* Some kids were seeing double and thought there were twice as many people there.
* Sometimes building a wall sounds like a good idea.
* This girl’s going to be grounded ’til she’s 50.
* Relax, it’s not every teenage girl who becomes a legend.
* Someday her parents will laugh about this … but it might take a while.
* Especially if they become grandparents in nine months.
* Now, there’s a band name that really could work: The Booze-Soaked Ragers.”
* I like how polite the town is calling it a violation of the Social Host Law. Hello? That wasn’t a soiree – that was a teenage riot.
